CULTURE SERVICES
It starts with the adults. As we strive to make our schools more liberatory, empowering, and joyful spaces, we often are asking the adults in our buildings to embody a culture they never experienced as children. Rooted Liberation’s Culture Services begin with identifying the key shifts in both mindsets and practices that leaders, teachers, and staff must inhabit in order to facilitate the co-creation of a liberatory culture with students and families.

TESTIMONIAL •
“Sarah’s approach to school culture merges an unapologetic centralization of the whole person with culturally-affirming mindsets, actions, and evaluation. As a long-standing educational leader, Sarah embodies directive, supportive, coaching, and delegative modalities of leadership in an era that calls to action a need for liberatory reform in schools across a diverse platform of educational landscapes. Above everything, Sarah’s character continues to inspire students, families, staff, and community partners to continuously learn and grow. As a principal, I hold the highest regard for Sarah and her approach to school culture - and would not be the school leader I am today without her.”

restorative and transformative
justice services
Restorative justice depends on deep and respectful relationships between community members; when harm occurs, the responsible person(s) can reflect and take action to restore the harmed relationship to their healthy state. When harmful systems, practices and mindsets trigger a person’s harmful behavior, transformative justice requires that we design solutions to transform those systems, practices and mindsets to prevent further perpetuation of harm.
